Tatiana’s book represents 7 designs inspired by fairy tales. The photos of the stitches employed are worth a look as considerable effort has been expended to make the stitches easy to follow. The designs are a bit chunky for me, a result of their design, stitch execution, and the use of pearl cottons. As no crewel wool has been used this is surface embroidery, not crewel embroidery. The use of color is not sophisticated but folksy. The fairy tales and personal stories are entertaining. This is a great book for a Saturday afternoon and a cup of tea.
