The Studio:

This September the studio is quiet. We are looking forward to rain and cooler weather. The gardens outside the studio will be in color again. I did not bother to hide the work going on, the studio is always a work in progress.

I am enjoying catching up with future classes, projects in progress, and all the designs in my head. The group is going to be getting back together as soon as possible for the Introduction to Gold course. I will have to post some of their work soon. We have much planned including a needlework Holiday Cookie Exchange. The group is communicating via Zoom. We talk about our projects, and recently I started posting a picture of a needlework to encourage a short discussion on color and design. Did you know I am the Chairman of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America’ s Judging Certification Program? See the events page to learn more.

Check out the project I have posted this month on the blog. It is a simple way to practice stitches without pressure. I will post the final picture of the project this week. Each month we will have a new project and info about things happening in the studio.

Until then, stay safe, be kind, and have fun stitching.
